Beyond CBD: Try these herbal self-care options

If you live in an area where CBD and THC products are restricted or simply unavailable, there are natural alternatives that can offer a similar feeling of relaxation and well-being.

Teas: A cup of herbal tea can do wonders for your mood. I like this  tasty blend from Triple Leaf Tea, which contains chamomile, skullcap, and valerian root to promote relaxation.

Lavender is one of my favorite herbs, both for its soothing aroma and its taste in tea.  Tiesta Tea offers a blend of lavender and chamomile that is lovely.

This unique blend from Bigelow is infused with L-Theanine, in addition to passion flower, rose, and lavender.

Bath and skincare:  Aromatherapy is easy with shower steamers. Just drop a tablet in the shower and enjoy the instant sensory experience. After a long day, these shower bombs that are infused with soothing natural scents like lavender and chamomile can help you wind down.

You can't go wrong with Bath and Body Works Lavender and Vanilla body cream. This is wonderful to apply just before bedtime.

If you need to calm your skin and your mood, Aveeno's Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion, made with oatmeal and lavender, is ideal.

Aromatherapy:
There's something about a lovely smelling lit candle that can uplift the mood and calm the nerves. This Serenity + Calm candle from Chesapeake Bay offers a soothing blend of lavender and thyme.

For stress relief on the go, I love roll on applicators. Try this set from BeNatu that offers scents for relaxation, balance, and good sleep.

Speaking of sleep, mist your pillow with this soothing lavender spray from Aromasong to lull you into a restful slumber.

Neck pain is common for caregivers. Find relief for an aching neck as well as aromatherapy with this lavender and peppermint infused neck wrap from Dream Time.

An essential oil diffuser is a convenient way to turn a room into a soothing self-care spa. With a diffuser, you can customize your aromatherapy experience to your preference.
